Malachite necklace with unique leaf clasp, hand crafted and made to order in Antique Bronze or Silver Plated

For this piece I've allowed the Malachite to speak for itself, the chips are all naturally shaped and so all necklaces will be unique. This amazing deep green stone is so striking and natural. There are lines of colour seeping through each one which gives it magnificent depth. Malachite has been long been prized by Ancient Egyptian, Roman and Greek civilisations.

Each necklace is packaged in a hand stamped eco-friendly kraft box ready for gift giving. Also includes care instructions, storage bag, and an anti-tarnish tab to keep your item looking beautiful.

The length option is the length of the circular section that will go around your neck from the end one the clasp to the very end of the other side of the clasp. The choice is there so you can decide how high or low you would like the piece to hang on you. If you'd like advice on the choice, please just let me know!

Malachite is always green, usually in banded tones varying from very dark green to a mellow green. Most malachite comes from Zaire, Chile and Australia.

Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used malachite for jewelry and ground it to use as eye shadow. It is used in amulets to protect against the evil eye. In the Middle Ages it was used to protect children from witches and other dangers.
